In 1968, leading a group of craftsmen artists, he opened the Atelier, in the avant-garde neighborhood of Santa Teresa, home to artists and intellectuals from Rio de Janeiro, where his acclaimed career as a furniture designer begun. The artist's industrial mind and curious nature contributed to his many innovative creations, his furniture Atelier in into a vibrant incubator.
